These are standard videos for the OSCE preparation.
Please watch these before the first OSCE meeting.
Our goal in giving you these as homework, is that it allows more time for examining candidates during our contact time.

Homework for week 1
There is some homework for you to do.
This will involve you videoing yourself on your phone or other device, answering a vital question
​Set aside 4 minutes and read the Viva and look at the illustrations.
At the end of the 4 minutes, set your timer for 7 minutes and speak for the full 7 minutes on the topic asked.
​Then watch it back and see how the examiner sees you.
This is a self critique session.
​This is the single most important thing you can do at this stage to help you pass.

There is only one video for you to watch this week. If you watch this you might get about 20% of the OSCE marks. No Promised, but you will see why in the firs 5 minutes.

Here are some lectures/exercises for the week
Prepare a standard AIRWAY answer for:
  • SEDATION
  • INTUBATION
Prepare these for 4 patient types:
  1. The Obese Patient
  2. The Paediatric Patient
  3. The Septic/Hypotensive Patient
  4. The Intracranial Haemorrhage patient.
